Enjoy a night run (or walk) in nature on the Root River Trail, lit by luminaries. Each participant receives a reusable lighted bracelet to wear as well as a T-shirt featuring the Hoot Scoot logo.

Participants are encouraged to wear an owl costume or owl clothing during the run. Everyone who does will receive a special treat, and the person with the best costume will receive an award.

There will also be photo opportunities with our owl mascot, Hooston.

Expect owl-themed refreshments at the finish.

No dogs allowed for safety reasons.
Strollers are allowed, but will be asked to be at the rear of the group at the starting line.
No flashlights or headlamps allowed, even for kids in strollers, since they compromise dark-accommodated vision.

2018 Information
The 1 mile run begins at 7:00 PM and the 5K begins about 7:30 PM. Cost is $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile Fun Run if you register by September 27. After that date the registration fees are $30 and $25 respectively, and we cannot guarantee a T-shirt. You can also register at the race.
If you can't participate but just want the cool shirt, we will mail you a shirt for $25, postage & handling included. Orders must be received by September 27.

The race will be held rain or shine. Since this is a fundraiser, there will be no refunds.
