Carved Basswood Saw-whet
These beautiful hand-carved wooden owls are made by artist Robin Warburton. She lives in Janesville, Minnesota and has been carving birds for 10 years.
These pieces are created with Tupelo and Basswood, hand-painted with acrylics and fitted with hand-painted glass eyes.
The Saw-whet Owl took 40 hours to create and won second place at the Minnesota State Fair’s carving contest. It stands 12" tall from the base to the top of the branch.
75% of the proceeds from these pieces will be donated to the International Owl Center.
