International Owl Center

Welcome to the International Owl Center
located in Houston, MN

Summer Hours:
Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 10:00 - 5:00 with 1-hour programs at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00.  
No reservations needed--just show up and pay at the door.
Programs are included with admission.

Adults: $9
Seniors (65+)/Veterans/Military: $8
Children 4-17: $6
Members and children 3 & under: FREE


​Closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Schools and groups may schedule virtual programs or in-person programs Tuesday-Wednesday.

Please note that for the safety and well-being of our owls we cannot allow service dogs into our small building. Click here for more information.

January 9-10, 2027 - Minnesota Neighbor Weekend (free admission for residents of Winona, Fillmore and Houston counties)
January 23, 2027 - Owl Prowl (pre-registration required)
February 6-7, 2027 - Wisconsin Neighbor Weekend (free admission for residents of La Crosse, Trempealeau and Vernon counties)
March 5-7, 2027 - International Festival of Owls (Tons of activities! Special pricing applies.)
