IOC pledgeThe International Owl Center is now open in our temporary home!  The Center currently offers  a selection of touchable, labeled owl wings, feet, heads, tails and more to explore, as well as an owl replica that illustrates just how far an owl can turn its head.

Our selection of mounted owl specimens includes nine different species. Many of the mounts were prepared by owl biologist Roar Solheim from Norway and are so perfect they are often mistaken for live owls.

We have our research tracking transmitters on display, and cultural owl art from around the world. We have live owls daily -  come meet our owls up close and personal! Alice, Ruby, Rupert and Timber would love for you to hear their stories and teach you about their species.  Alice is sometimes off site doing programs, or stays home for maternity leave to incubate eggs Jan-March.  And don't miss a chance to visit our Gift Shop, featuring EVERYTHING owl! We have something for all ages.

Our Mission

The International Owl Center advances the survival of wild owl populations through education and research. We plan to accomplish our mission through biological and cultural programs and displays, green building design, citizen-science and other research, international exchange of information, the World Owl Hall of Fame, the International Festival of Owls, and other means.
